OTTO MUEHL: WORKS 1955-2013

The complete works of Otto Muehl embrace more than five decades of creativity in which a highly extensive, diverse and complex oeuvre has emerged. Through the combination of the entire artist estate in the Estate Otto Muehl, it has, for the first time, been made possible to introduce a representative cross section of works from all chapters of the artist´s creative periods in the exhibition rooms of the Sammlung Friedrichshof.

In addition to important works from the time as co-founder of Viennese Actionism, which to date, dominates perceptions and interpretations of Otto Muehl´s works, the focus of the exhibition lies on the pictorial, graphic and cinematic work, which was created from the early 1970s right up until his death.
